[Menai Suspension Bridge]

Menai Bridge (Welsh: Porthaethwy) is a small town overlooking the Menai Strait on the Anglesey end of the Menai Suspension Bridge. It is the 3rd largest town on the island having a population of around 4000.

It existed as Porthaethwy for many centuries and had a settlement there since Roman times as it is at the shortest crossing point of the Menai Strait.
